David Isa has been working primarily in Grand Falls-Windsor, Newfoundland for over 5 years now as a General Surgeon.
As for future plans, he hopes to get involved in more international surgery endeavours (education, capacity building, service delivery) in low and middle-income countries (particularly in Sub-Saharan Africa but he is open to opportunities wherever they may be) when international travel restrictions ease up to permit them. While restricted to Canada (and even after travel opens up), he hopes to apply what he has learnt through the MGSC program in approaching surgical care delivery challenges in rural locales in Canada where he finds himself.
